Terms of service

These terms are between you (or the company you sign up for) and Nord Ecom Oy (business ID 3319424-3, Finland), which runs Afterchat. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. The service. Afterchat is a support chat for your site, a knowledge vault built from your content and conversations, a ranked list of what your customers ask for, and a connection for your coding agent. It is in early access: features change, and we may pause or end a feature with reasonable notice.

2. Price. Free while in early access, within a monthly AI allowance. Before we charge anything we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead, and nothing is charged without your agreement.

3. Your account. Keep your sign-in safe; you're responsible for what's done in your workspace. You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for the company you sign up for.

4. Your content and your customers' data. What you and your customers put into Afterchat stays yours. You let us use it only to run the service for you. For your customers' personal data you are the controller and we are your processor: we process it only to provide the service and on your instructions; keep it confidential and secure; use only the subprocessors listed in the privacy notice, telling you before we add one so you can object; help you answer your customers' requests about their data; tell you without undue delay if a breach affects it; and delete it when you delete it or your workspace (within 30 days), unless the law requires us to keep it. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for telling your customers, for example in your own privacy notice.

5. AI answers. The assistant answers from your vault and can be wrong. You choose how much it does alone (Off, Draft or Auto) and you're responsible for what is sent in your name. Some topics always go to a person.

6. Fair use. Don't use Afterchat to break the law, to send spam, to deceive people about who they're talking to, or to try to get into other workspaces or overload the service. We may suspend a workspace that does, and we'll tell you why.

7. Ending. You can delete your workspace any time in Settings. We may end your access for a serious breach of these terms, or end the service with 60 days' notice so you can export your data.

8. Liability. The service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or €100 if you haven't paid anything). Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Changes. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change to these terms that matters.

10. Law. Finnish law applies. Disputes go to the Helsinki District Court, unless consumer law says otherwise.
